Alan Rickman RIP

I loved that film, lola, I must watch it again sometime.  Pass the tissues!

He was great in serious and funny roles, as a villian and a good guy, on stage as well as screen, and also as a director.

I found him very charismatic.  By all accounts he was a helluva nice guy too.

Last interview in May 2015

Alan Rickman RIP

He did this short 30 second charity video recently

For each viewing apparently You Tube donates to Save the Children and the Refugee Council.

Alan Rickman RIP

A wonderful villain.... From bombastic Sheriff of Nottingham ...Die Hard's deadly psychopathic Hans Gruber .....to the sinister Professor Snape (who wasn't really a villain but had all the appearance of one!)! Brilliant in gentle comedy such as Galaxy Quest, Truly Madly Deeply and Love Actually....Alan xx Rickman had those twinkling 'come to bed with me eyes' and could play the charismatic romantic with equal conviction! A great stage actor whose work with the RSC bears testament to....and a man of vision directing shows with a talent born of insight and experience. One of the most unassuming 'nice guys' who never felt the need to promote his ego!

Undoubtably he would have become a knight of the stage and I can think of none more worthy....he should be given a posthumous honour. Maybe Harry Potter could magic one up for him....

RIP....a Truly, Madly and Deeply felt loss to world of theatre and film......I'm heartbroken!
