I came back to use my ebay account for selling and found that my account had moved to mainland China which restricts my ability to sell as I am based in the UK. The account was created 20 years ago in the UK and I have NEVER used it outside the UK.

Attempts personally and with the assistance of a young lady in Merchant Support still returns the error:

Their latest suggestion is to creat a new account which means I lose 20 years worth of goodwill.

Any other suggestions welcome.

Well, someone has used your account and registered it in China, that is the place of registration showing now.

It's not a simple matter of just changing address details,  for this you need eBay Cutomer Services,  who have access to your account and can explain how to re register your account correctly,  if you are now residing in the UK.

On weekdays lines open between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.

On weekends they open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
