When people come to these boards because they have recieved what seems to be a dodgy email, my, and other responders advice has always been to check ebay messages - if it's there it's real, if not forward it to spoof@ebay.com.
A few weeks ago I recieved an email informing me of a message from our very own Alan, and this week alone I have recieved email notification of 3 seperate messages from another member. I know these were real, but they were not in my messages, and have never shown up.
Had I followed my own advice , Alans, and this other members messages would have been forwarded. It's bad enough that almost nothing on this site works properly, including messages, but this is just so misleading.
I guess we need to change our advice, but what do we tell people now ?
