I tried a low offer on a phone someone was selling today. Ebay never came back to me to say that it had been accepted, but instead BOUGHT the phone, using my bank details, without my permission. I am fuming. Has this happened to anybody else? & what can I do about it?
If you make an offer, as part of the process, unless seller has opted out of requiring immediate payment, then you have to authorise payment , if you do not then you cannot make the offer.
If you are asked to include your payment information when making an offer, payment will be taken as soon as the offer is accepted. It's explained here:
