How to retract a bid if I'm highest bidder??

I'll try to answer the question you've left as feedback. (Thank you, pipmr, for pointing it out.) You obviously don't understand about feedback. This is the only time you have left any in spite of the fact that sellers have left it for you.

Feedback is not a message board. It's a way of letting other buyers know about your transaction and thanking your seller. What you have written is completely inappropriate.

If you wanted to know what the seller could do you should have come back here for further advice.

A buyer cannot cancel a transaction. You can ask the seller to cancel it and they can accept or refuse your request if they are a private seller. To make sure that your seller gets her fees refunded she should open a non-payment dispute against you. That will give you a non-payment strike on your account. If you get 2 or more non-payment strikes in 12 months you will find it very difficult to buy on eBay because sellers can block buyers with 2 or more strikes.

However, your seller may have already sent you a cancellation request. That is another way for her to get her fees refunded. It is not as reliable as a non-payment dispute but it will get her fees refunded if you immediately respond by agreeing to it. And that is the least you can do after giving her this problem and costing her money.

Please remember in future that when you place a bid you are committing to buying the item if you win the auction.  You can't retract a bid after the auction ends and you cannot cancel the transaction. You are clearly dealing with a rather inexperienced seller. It's very unfair to cost the seller money. More experienced sellers would have opened a non-payment case immediately.
