Faulty gernerator

I bought a generator off a seller September 2023 and now the seller has stopped trading.  

I've tried to contact the seller but have had no reply.  

What warranty does it come with. ?

I would of thought 12 months. 

I tried to contact eBay but they seem not to help.

EBay has a 30 day money back guarantee others like Paypal go to 180 days but you are well ouside that anyway.  

Guarantees are a problem on on-line sales and very difficult to enforce unless - perhaps - backed up by a manufacturer whose name is known.

As a consumer does the item not come with a 12 month guarantee as standard by law.?

@arkwebus  has already said ebay MBG is only for 30 days.

After that it is between you and seller.
