Had bid cancelled when I checked seller had said the sale had ended but the same item is still available on eBay

A seller is allowe to cancel bids on their auctions.

Have you sent the seller a message to ask why it was cancelled?  However,  they do not have to give you a reason,  you may have to find another seller selling this item.
