Can I get selling restriction lifted?

At some point last year I had my account restricted such that I could not sell any items. I had sold some items that were prohibited, a stash of girly magazines I acquired. These were things that were freely on sale to the public in shops not so long ago but anyway I accept its not for Ebay and that's their rules. I have sold lots of other items over the years so I'm not trying to set up some kind of online soho store.

For a long time after this I didn't have anything to sell but now have a collection of various items I'd like to sell but when I attempted to it let me set up my first listing before telling at the very end that my account is restricted please refer to messages to take steps to get account reinstated.

This is all very well but any such message is not in my inbox any more and every avenue I've tried with ebay "help and customer service" refers me to an AI Bot who can only repeats this instruction to refer to my non-existent message and I'm stuck forever goint round this infinite loop.

The only chance of breaking I could find was the suggestion to refer to this community forum which seems pretty poor that eBay seems to expect its customers to provide its own customer service to each other, despite AI Bot making teasing refernce to the option to speak to an "agent". Have not been able to track down this option.

So here I am, apologies for the long story but can anyone offer help or advice please?

Can I get selling restriction lifted?

The reason why your account is restricted just may be because you have not used your account for selling for a long time.

You may be prevented from listing an item, because you have not fully or correctly registered with eBay's Managed Payments.

You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified.  The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive,  and confirm to eBay.

Once this is completed,  you will be able to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.

This will show you how to register for eBay's Managed Payments.

If there is an issue with the registration contact eBay Customer Services,  who have full access to your account,  and can see where the issue lies and explain the steps you now need to take.

Contact them this way.

Scroll to the very bottom of the page on the link below you will be able to access eBay Customer Services  through the Contact Us link.
