posting a book

Sold a book. only just 1.2 kilos well within posting dims. thought would use post office nearby and was directed to paypal/ebay to pay. paid and went to po with parcel all lebelled up. post office wighed and said it would have to be £5.45. ......?   So I took it away and sent by parcel2go for £3.75 I think it was .......How do I get my cash back ??  mike

If you used first class postage then the price the PO told you was correct, it would have been £2.80 second class.

You don't have to use ebay postage labels
