buyer requested cancellation and then changed their mind and paid - can I cancel the cancellation

Customer emailed on winning auction to say they couldn't afford to pay.  I then requested cancellation but they then paid for the item.  I don't seem to be able to reverse the cancellation - can this be done?

The buyer should be able to refuse the cancellation.  Or if they do nothing you can close it yourself after 7 days.
