VAT restriction on account even though not registered awaiting letter of exemption

Hello 

To cut a long story short ,

Ebay is asking for a VAT registration number ,

I have spoken to my accountant who has stated that a lot of people who have sold more than expected in the pandemic via the internet and do not forsee selling so much again have been granted exempion rather than registering just to deregister imedietly .

My sales are mostly gardening which are starting to drop significantly already and will be near 0 throughout winter.

I am waiting for a letter of exempion coming through but can not get any sence from ebay even as to wether this will be accepted ( as there is a huge backlog in goverment departments  this could even be a month or 2 away )

My listings are restricted from editing which means I can not even take stock off as I certainly am not going to buy new stock if I can not sell it )

My listings I do have stock for are running out .

I have rung ebay repeatedly and of course no help get cut off passed around .

This is my familys only income as my partner is seriously ill .

Anyone else in theis situation and resolved it ?
