Paying charities post sale

Hi @mactavsy ,

Thank you for your post.

If you are a direct charity then funds can be withdrawn into the charity bank account. If you sell and make donations as part of the sale then these donations will now be processed by eBay and paid automatically into the paypal giving fund to the charity.

Thank you,

Kat

Paying charities post sale

Hi-

Apologies for jumping onto this thread but my question follows on from your reply. If eBay is now automatically processing the funds and sending them to PayPal (I assume we can no longer choose to be invoiced),  will sellers still receive a monthly summary of the payments made so we can double check sales vs donations and reconcile any issues (in the past, I've noticed donations missing and errors in amounts due to refund calculations)? I cannot find any information on my charity dashboard about donations, pending or otherwise. Will a lump sum donation be made at the end of each month still or will the donations be made within days of the sale?

Thank you for your help in advance!

Traci

Hi @elizabennett ,

Thank you for your questions.

The donations that are now automatically collected by eBay are sent to the Paypal giving fund. This fund then sends the donations to the charities usually once a month. You should still receive donation receipts. If for any reason, there was an issue with automatically collecting the donation you would be sent an invoice like the older method. There is a history tab in your donations part that shows all previous paid.

You can download transaction reports and your monthly financial summary that will detail all sales including the charity payments. These reports are available in your payments tab within seller hub here

Thank you,

Kat
