warning of activity on my account

Hi ,  you have warned me via email of unusual activity on my account,,, someone in Newbury.   i was using pay pal at the time with a purchase.   I changed my password as adviced.  2 days later i bought another item  and got the same warning of someone  i n Newbury  using my account !    i have not changed my pass word again.  can you explain whats going on ?   thanks Jeff

It appears to be a cookie based. If you clear cookies regularly you possibly know what you are doing. Ebay drops an ID cookie on your device when you login. If the cookie is deleted their sophisticated security system panics and sends you a message after you login again. The location (Newbury) is irrelevant. It may be what ever tomorrow depends on your ISP routing. The stupidity of this 'security solution' is ...
