Is there a problem with youtube? I've no sound. Sound works OK elsewhere.
Someone else just told me they have no sound so anyone else soundless on YT?

No sound on mine either, but sound on radio and other things OK.

I notice that there's an "x" next to the speaker icon and clicking that does nothing.

Mine wasn't working until I pressed the x by the speaker icon and moved the bar along. Maybe its something new, never had it happen before.

So many sites make obscure changes no-one knows anything about and they seem to make the default the opposite of what people would use.
I wonder if they do it deliberately? "Ha ha, we'll cause them some mayhem, ha ha." ?????

I have this weird thing with Youtube,sometimes its ok then i just lose sound out of nowhere. Inormally end up fiddling with the audio deck thing on my pc and it comes back without me ever knowing what i did!!! LOL..
It still confuses me why this happens???.

Thanks Ed. My sound stopped working then I followed your advice, moved the bar and it seems to be back to normal

I see that once the browser has been closed, the next time you load it and go to youtube, the sound is muted as default so you have to switch the sound on again.
I wonder what stupid person thought that was a good idea and more than that, what stupid persons gave it the OK?

It probably is a good idea if you are using your lappy in a public place like on a train bus or plane, or even in an open plan office.
I certainly don't want to hear what other people are playing in those circs.

Yup mine too, well done youtube you have made an old woman very happy kept thinking I had gone deaf - it never used to do that.
