Noting the lack of posters on the boards, I still see plenty of viewers so why don't they post?

Have they nothing to say? Had I thought of it earlier, it might have been a good idea to suggest a New Years resolution to post more on the boards?

At one time, the ratio of views to posts had gone up to ten to one, it's much, much higher now. Why so??

Hi, I think people (like me) click to read the whole post and may very well then realise they have nothing useful or original to add!  It's a shame the boards are not as busy as they used to be and I still wonder why.  Anyway, I thought it would be polite to reply, in the circumstances!

Thank you for your reply but doncha think people could think about the subject(s) and find something to say even if it's only an agreement or otherwise?

Yes, it doesn't seem a lot to ask!  Let's hope someone else adds an opinion...

Why aren't the boards as busy as they used to be?    Didn't the decline set in after "Community" was replaced by the little bell at the top of the page?  Community being relegated to the line of grey links at the bottom.

Specifically re. RT.    On my laptop having clicked Discussion Boards, RT isn't visible.  I have to scroll down.  I wonder how all these options show up on mobiles.

I've mentioned on at least one thread on the Buying / Selling boards that the tone of some of the regulars has changed.  Sadly with fewer threads and replies to those threads, it's much easier for a few to respond to almost anything and everything on any of the main boards.

No matter what the question, complaint or topic put up for discussion, the AYRAAB hunters are there, their only contribution, an accusation.   Others give advice, but good advice is too often accompanied by sarcasm, belittling or derogatory comments possibly  thinly disguised as humour.

There are still some excellent responders who give advice without ridicule or try to discuss a topic just to explore it, but then all too often one or two of the others come along with their attitude.  "We've been here for years.  We know all the answers.  You're new and you know nothing."

Being spoken down to is bound to put off many new visitors, who then don't bother to return.
