Recycling Centres, garden centres

After closing recycling centres .....
I wondered when the fly tipping would start 🙁
Places are starting to look like a Spanish cliff (no offence to Spain I just remember a botany trip round Southern Spain in the 90s and every time I look at a view from an edge there was a pile of dumped rubbish!)

Time they were allowed to open.
I couldn't really work out why they were deemed non essential in the first place, and I couldn't see there was a particular risk.
At our dump there is one way in and one way out so it would be easy to let in a few cars at a time (not that ours is that busy it would to restrict vehicle numbers anyway) and who spends longer than a couple of minutes at the dump? It's hardly a place to linger!

That’s a new one on me! I have seen cyclists out and about for a fix, and suddenly people are walking down our lane who I have never seen before, Bin diving, well that’s a new one, I have no idea why it has been banned though🤷🏿‍♂️

And garden centres having to close ...... Sad to think of the millions of plants, shrubs, trees etc that may be thrown away 🙁 I feel for the owners facing the loss of so much stock.

Not to mention it's almost impossible to get compost or young plants, even onion sets seem to be sold out online and you have to wait just to get on to big seed companies like Sutton's website.
I suppose the centres that can sell online will survive but my more local ones are not set up for displaying or listing all their stock.

I am so glad that I kept my allotment this year, it keeps me sane and is good exercise, especially digging, but most of all it's so good to get out in the air when you don't have a garden.

I feel so sorry for people in tiny flats and high rise ones with no outside space and nowhere close that's nice to walk to during this lockdown.
