Have you a favourite composer? Some had a list of great movie themes so who do you rate?
Me? Well, Ennio Morricone and Elmer Bernstein rate highly with me for being memorable. You?
Mind you, I like Malcolm Arnold's "Bridge over the River Kwai" theme. OK, OK, I know you're gonna think of Colonel Bogey. Remember the air horns? I chose not to have that one, I just had the triples. I digress for a moment. Many many years ago I was driving down a narrow country road and came upon a lad riding a little 50cc bike and he was bent right over the handlebars as if he was really speeding on a big bike. He was doing about 25 MPH and was right in the middle of the road. I followed for some way, he hadn't seen or heard me so eventually I got up right behind him and gave him a blast of the horns. He wobbled like crazy and pulled over and you should have just seen his sheepish look. I had my father with me and that made him laugh.
Anyway, back to the composers eh?

There are so many great movie themes - it's remarkable that film makers have been able to find such great composers and themes for their movies.
Re your Ennio Morricone, this is one which always gives me that shiver down the spine:

Friends who watched the movie Lincoln? Did you like it? I really love the music in this movie. you do not know who the composer is?

I've watched Lincoln - historical drama film directed and produced by Steven Spielberg. Lincoln is my hero. A hero is someone who has been recognized for a courageous act or nobility in character. Heroes in my opinion are people who have attained special achievements in history and are remembered for their abilities and personal qualities which make them role models. Heroes are often remembered for risking or rather sacrificing their lives for. I have great respect for Lincoln for emancipation proclamation. Emancipation is an important topic for me in the value system.

''Lara's Theme'' by Maurice Jarre for 'Doctor Zhivago' 1965 film.

All of these, particularly John Barry who takes me back to when I lived in Italy. Always thought the theme for The Persuaders belonged to a much better/ heavier series or film. Also Aimee Mann for Magnolia.
