...... is anyone else feeling cold and still has the CH turned on at times?
😞

Yes. Me too. I try to avoid the CH as it costs enough to run in winter, let alone in the summer too. But I can't believe we are at the end of may and I sit in the evenings with a blanket on my legs. 2 c**p years in a row! Still, we've got a BIG retirement holiday at the end of october. Been saving up for nearly 5 years, and I can't wait.

That's lovely - I take it you're going somewhere warm?

Haven`t had any heating on at all for months, and it is a steady 20 degrees C all day, every day.
Gets cooler overnight, but I am in bed under the duvet, so doesn`t matter then.

Me too. CH been on 24/7 except when it gave up the ghost, and then frozen even with electric fire on full blast. Back to 24/7 CH when it was fixed. Sometimes real fire on as well. Can't stand being cold. I'm living in the wrong country. 😞 :^O

I don't have it on all the time, but for the past couple of days, I've turned it on in the day which just seems daft for the end of May - but even with my woolies and cords on, I'm still cold - my nose is cold!
Still - I suppose, as the saying goes: Ne're cast a clout 'til May is out.
I think whoever made that up was desperate for words to rhyme!

Yes, starting with New york then LA, Sydney, Hobart, Adelaide, Coober Pedy (for opal mining),
Alice springs, Cairns and Dubai.
Don't ask what it's cost, but I'll give you a clue - it's £1400 for the airport taxes alone. Apart from saving a regular amount each month it's all our birthay and christmas presents and anniversary dinners too and we haven't had a holiday (not even a long weekend) in 5 years. So you can imagine how excited we are.

Oh, that's so lovely - hope you have such a great time!
Aernethril - Our heating is on at the moment - bloomin' freezing here, and a thunderstorm is just rolling around 😞

Oh wow - that is awesome. Hope you have the most fantastic time.
pixel - I just went out and managed to dodge the flying bullet of hail but got absolutely drenched by some idiot car driver racing through a puddle!
It's sunny now, but so so cold. Even the poor wee birdies are sitting on the branches shivering.
And - guess which muggins forgot to turn the CH down last night at bedtime?!?
Woke up this morning in a hothouse but didn't feel like blooming.
😞

hmmmmm - just to correct myself - there was more than one hail stone - and they came down at something like a 60 - 45 degree angle too, the wind was so fierce.

Even for a bank holiday weekend, this is really not good.
It's blowing up really stormy weather out there today.
Went out, robed up for winter, just to put some more birdy seed out.
Poor wee baby birds may not survive this cold and wet.
