Iraq army capitulates to Isis militants in four cities.

It seems we have opened pandora's box and it might be impossible to put the lid back on it.

Islamist insurgents in Iraq have seized the city of Tikrit, their second major gain after capturing Mosul on Tuesday, secuirity officials say. Tikrit, the hometown of former leader Saddam Hussein, lies just 9.5 miles north of the capitol Baghdad.

Iraq PM Nouri Maliki has vowed (heh) to fight back against the jihadists and punish those in the secuirity forces who have deserted. The insurgents are from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS). I would have thought the billions spent would have meant the secuirity forces would have been trained and equiped to stop this ''BEFORE'' a need to fight back???

How to turn a stable country into a lawless wasteland, invade it then leave it.

So another Country that America went to War with because they didn't like it's leader, looks like it will end up at least in part an Extreme State.

They did the same in Iran , they didn't want a Socialist (after the Shah) so interfered and got an extremist Islamic one

In Lybia they did the exact same thing & got Gadafi they later weakened his position then ended up with an extremist run fractured State

The Arab spring, has done mostly the same to all the Countries along North African coast

Only a Coup by the Army reversed the same events in Egypt

They continually moaned about the Leadership in Syria, helped the rebels, who have now been overun by even more extreme Isalmist rebels

Afghanistan will go the same way, as soon as the US and it's allies pull out

A lot of the above, was pushed for by Israel and it's Neo-Con friends in Washington

Only massive changes, has kept Jordan quiet (but for how long?)

Now look what surrounds Israel,, they talked about being surrounded by enemies, for years. Well now through the Wests action, they really are, but these enemies are a lot worse than the ones they talked about in the past,.

So once they have finished taking over, these Countries, who will they pick on next, Israel, or, of course they could also head South into the extremely segregated Countries of the Gulf and Saudi Arabia. Where the Wealth is held by a very small % of the People, just ripe for a populist Islamic uprising.

Bush, Bush, BLiar, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the Neo-Cons forgot one of the most poinent sayings in the Western World

Be careful for what You wish for, you might just get it.

of course the rider is - You might not like what you end up with

Proof of the futility and stupidity of interference in other countries affairs by America, Brtain, France etc etc, and don't forget that supercilious **bleep** Cameron did all could to send our lads into Syria. The damage has already been done. Our Neo Liberal armchair rulers have made sure of that.

It dosen't need intervention from the UK, the US, or anybody else for that matter, to turn Muslim countries into blood-baths, they're quite capable of doing it by themselves.

William Hague has said he will not send further troops to Iraq. Well we will see?  And no further money either William? I would guess over the many, many years to come more troops, and billions of pounds.

I still remember Bush's 'mission accomplished' speech in 2003.  Well those three words. One word now would be DISASTER!!!

When countries have a mix of extreme and volatile religions, the only government to keep them under control is unfortunately a dictatorship. When this is removed, well, need I sat more..

Sorry, could not get back sooner.  Yes, of course your right.

Latest, read all about it:   ''Iraqi Kurds take key oil city''  The Major oil city controlled by peshmerga fighters after governments army abandons posts, while Isis targets Baghdad.   Abandons posts?  Are they that easy?

Oh well we wont be getting a few buckets of oil from there then.

What a diabolical mess - Iraq spiralling out of control and another huge humanitarian crisis. I suppose this was the stability and peace that Tony Blair was talking about as his justification for the hundreds of thousands of people whose deaths he caused.

I'm confused are we supporting them in Syria and fighting them in Iraq?

Well of course you can.   We see your images.   (wink)

No sign yet of a government fight back.  And even worse the deserting soldiers are leaving brand new tanks, guns, lorries ect completely in tack. Now why would they not destroy them with an hand grenade or even a match?  What madness is that?

Or is it something else? (wink).
