Saved a MPG4 to test and used the 'Import Video frames to layers' in PS CS5.

That all very well when you have CS5, as I noticed rooting through all these lovingly done tutorials on youtube "how to make a Gif in PS"-
alas - CS doesn't import videoframes to layers yet....
Interesting software though - looks like it saves the tedious capturing +saving frame by frame...

When trying out that video, I cut loads of frames out & it was still 500 frames 😮

Love that vid -"how to wrap your cat"- I mean, will save the frame saving in Movie maker - in PS it still will be a bit on the tedious side...

never mind the pixalation, that happened in IR - but that frame was 384 x 288, damn you PB...
500 frames????
I don't think, my newbie could cope with that - my Red Arrow gif has 47 frames.
But it's great to be able to finally turn video material into Gifs!
