Hello, Does anyone know if these marks are for french silver or silver plate as i am struggling to find any reference.
The mark on the left seems to be some kind of fleur de lys with the letters 'Ste' and 'A' and the other mark it think is 'Argenta' or 'Argental' 60g. This is marked on all the pieces (spoons & forks) and on the knives is the same makers mark with 8.GR 12g.
Any help would be most appreciated as its now doing my head in.
Thanks in advance Conway117

Don't know if you're still trying to find out about the piece but it is definitely French Silver Plate.
Best wishes Lousbits.

can anyone say if a bracelet with a crab and also a lozenge is french silver or silverplate thanks for reading

I know of at least one French city mark with a crab & lozenge mark (containing makers mark), and that is Lyons 1768/75
However.............There are other countries which us the crab as well as a lozenge in their assay marks, so I would need to see a photo of your marks to offer a better degree of certainty.
