Hello to all our old friends and newcomers alike. Welcome to Bill & Charlie's Bar - the place to meet other posters and to sit and chat while you sample your favourite tipple. Plenty to drink, lots of joking but alas no smoking.

We are open all hours (hic) and run a respectable Bar. (Although I argued with Charlie until I was blue in the face over that one!) No swearing, spitting or drun..drunk...drunken beeeehaviour (hic). We have a couple of bouncers to hand ~ she comes in on Friday nights.

Teetotallers are welcome and will be treated as normal. I jest ~ soft drinks are available at the bar along with light snacks. And finally, please use the emergency exit when Bill rambles on about the good ol' days and put plugs in your ears when Charlie 'sings'.

THIS WISDOM IS VALUABLE !

To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine...
And those who don't.

As Ben Franklin said:

”In wine there is wisdom,
In beer there is freedom,
In water there is bacteria”.

In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink
1 litre of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. Coli) - bacteria as found in faeces.  In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of p**p..

However,
We do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whisky or other liquor)  because alcohol has to go through a purification process  of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.

Remember:
Water = P**p,
Wine = Health.

Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid,

Than to drink water and be full of ---t.

So, why not stay and have a safe drink at Bill & Charlie's Bar?

Me an early night? Well that's never really going to happen is it...plus it's early...not even 1 o'clock yet. :^O

I do have to be up quite early though to go to the vets.....something wrong with one of my cats. 😞

I don't know what is wrong with it. He still drinks, although I can see he is dehydrated. His fur looks all wrong. We wonder if he has something stuck in his throat. He won't eat and has lost weight. But we didn't really notice anything wrong with him till Saturday.

Tamara is sleeping on the floor next to him at the moment. I hope the vet can get him better. 😐

I have a funeral to attend tomorrow, fortunately not until 1pm, any earlier and I'd look worse than the corpse :^O

Our last guinea pig was not well for a week or two, then he died same day as Amy Winehouse 😐

Suze, I don't really know his age, it was a stray..but I guess he's about 10/12
