Hello to all our old friends and newcomers alike. Welcome to Bill & Charlie's Bar - the place to meet other posters and to sit and chat while you sample your favourite tipple. Plenty to drink, lots of joking but alas no smoking.
We are open all hours (hic) and run a respectable Bar. (Although I argued with Charlie until I was blue in the face over that one!) No swearing, spitting or drun..drunk...drunken beeeehaviour (hic). We have a couple of bouncers to hand ~ she comes in on Friday nights.
Teetotallers are welcome and will be treated as normal. I jest ~ soft drinks are available at the bar along with light snacks. And finally, please use the emergency exit when Bill rambles on about the good ol' days and put plugs in your ears when Charlie 'sings'.
Come on in...:-D

Oh good! That's made my day!
Yes, I had an incy-wincy suspicion that would make your day! Like when I fell orf the roof ~ and that time you pushed me I fell down the cellar steps. Very amusing indeed! 😛
But I have a cunning plan! :^O

😮
:^O
Well I suppose that might help repair the scars 🙂

Well, I did actually GET the snipe ~
even though you spoilt MY cunning plan!
😛
No doubt you'll be cooking up another one pretty soon! :^O
Btw Charlie, have you heard the weather forecast for the south today? An entire month's rain is due within the next 24 hours. Apparently we are on a 'yellow alert'.
I think 'yellow' must mean 'quite wet' :^O
Plus, I note the tennis at Queen's has been rained orf! And that leaves me ****** orf! :^O

Oh how nice! Thanks Bill :-x
A lovely frothy cappucinno ~
and a custard tart as big as the coffee! 😮
*waits for Caution to arrive so we can share* 😄
:^O
Most kind!
Is that why the thread went then? Cos it had strayed off topic? Blimey! Shocking. :^O
I think if the French had concluded last night, Djokovic might have snaffled it in 5. He was buzzin' ... whereas Nadal was uncharacteristically tetchy about the conditions.
Still, there you are. As Courier said (... amongst many, many, many other things - gawd, can't he yak?), history does not record "won after rain delays helped" or "would have won if rain hadn't interrupted play" ... so there we are.
I will start a tennis fred forthwith. Leave Bill in peace ... well, between the gunfire volleys that is.
😛

I can confirm it is very wet in West Sussex. Sainsbury's car park is impassable, not to mention the A27. 😮

Oh no! Not another lot! :_|
It's been throwing it down all day here already!
Flood alerts everywhere!
Btw, I see they're referring to it as the~
EUROPEAN MONSOON!
So why don't we ever get the ~
EUROPEAN HEATWAVE?
11-06-2012 4:56 PM
Hi Caution 🙂
No rain yet on the Kent coast but I expect it will chuck it down later. Sky looks full of it tnough.

I also heard it being described as a European Monsoon, but I have never known Europe to have 'monsoon' weather. I always attached the word 'monsoon' to the tropics. Do you reckon they had the map upside down? 😄
But I wouldn't mind some European Heatwaves ~ would be well good! :^O And well hot! And why not? :^O

Not sure if that is the reason the thread went, Caution but could be one of many. :^O
As for Djokovic, I think he can safely say (and I think Nadal would agree) that he wuz robbed! :^O Same thing happened to Henman when Goran snatched Wimbledon from him after rain delays. 😐 And boy, Jim boy can yak, can't he? And they talk about us women, talking ! Tsk! :^O
Anyway, yes we will leave the landlord in peace ~ well, until that mule turns up again. :^O

Oh, there is a tennis thread now. That's me on my own here then.

It's the blessed jet stream, Bill ~
it's got itself caught in the English Channel and can't find the exit! :O:^O
