eBay will be concerned about people doing off site deals to avoid fees.

Another thing here is they are trying to protect users from scams. Sadly there are users who try to take comms away from eBay’s eyes so they can rip someone off.

The good thing these days is you can add videos to a listing to show something working etc if a buyer wants to see that.

It makes life a lot easier for eBay to adjudicate if there is a dispute later.

The two recent items you sold you got your phone number in the description avoiding ebays AI checks by writing the number out word by word and asked for cash on collection or cheque.

Out of interest - if everyone did that - how do you propose ebay actually make any money?

To be quite honest I gave up reading your moan after the 10th spelling mistake, though I did look at your sold listings and at a guess I'd say you should be registered as a Business, not Private, seller.

A contact number written out word by word and payment by cash on collection or cleared (not 'clered') cheque are both blatant attempts invitations to do an off-site deal.

Frankly, the sooner you either leave or are banned from this site the better.

"so do you buy on here b4 you see it?"

Well you have to (bar vehicles). If you don't like the item after you've seen it - its easy enough to get a refund. It's really not that tricky.

Accept its not for everyone and other platforms are available - but there might not be as much protection on those ones.
