I don't need one of those emails very often I have to admit 😆 but I sold something this afternoon 👏🍾 and realised I haven't had a 'your item sold' email for about 2 years (roughly the last 20 sales?)
Ebay have no problems sending me a whole pile of spam emails that I *don't* want. And emails telling me about replies etc on this board....Is there a box somewhere I haven't ticked? (and is there another box I can tick to get rid of the spammy stuff?)
Solved! Go to Solution.

If you go under your account settings <top left, hi....> it's under seller preferences, comms prefs.
Not sure about stopping the spammy stuff - might be under advertising if you choose 'no' for everything.

Go here and then click on the Edit link next to Seller:

For replies on this board, go to the opening post and click on the arrow in a circle and select 'Unsubscribe':

Thank you mouse! dunnit.... I'll just have to wait (probably about another month 😆) to see if it works .
I went into 'Advertising' and everything was already on 'No,' so perhaps I'm stuck with the spam....

Thank you... I think I set my preferences about 15 years ago (when I first found these boards) and ebay, and the world, has been changing around me!

Maybe also re-check your settings from time to time?
Though I didn't take notes nor do I remember the details, at least twice I'm sure my settings got changed back at some point to the default and not by me.
As a result I also occasionally re-check my settings on other platforms too.
Just in case some change that eBay makes affects other things...and we know that happens 🙂

Yep... I'm learning to re-check stuff now. A couple of months ago I was stumped to find some (but only *some*) of my sales were now 'no returns'.
When I set stuff up years ago , advice from here told me that accepting returns was always a better idea, so that's what I set.
I can accept ebay changing something and me not noticing it, but why on only about a third of my listings? why not all?
Just another Mystery at Ebay Towers.....

I don't know whether anyone has noticed but the 'item sold' email title has changed this morning.
Yesterday, and previously it was titled "You made the sale for ....."
Today it is titled "The payment from ****** is confirmed"
Another totally unnecessary change which does nothing other than to potentially confuse.
As is the norm now; no commmunication of this change. It is pretty obvious that the programmers / developers on this platform have no ability to actually fix things which don't work and persistantly play aorund with with text, format and colour to keep busy.
Could be the same as those at Khoros who after several days of notifications have not been able to reset the spellcheck on the boards back to the English language. All of this is indicative of the declining quality of service now being provided by eBay and their partners.

Yeah, well the IT dept have to do *something* to justify their wages 😆 even if its' nothing useful, or even a downright backwards step.

It's a working model of the infinite monkey theorem, ett1954...
