We are a Partnership in UK registered as a business and selling on ebay.
We are having trouble registering for managed payments as instructed with dealine of 16 Oct, its not recognising my correct bank details, then my account is half disabled for a few hours! Very scary!
Now reading many people people having heaps of problems and higher fees when they do manage to register.
Just wondering what is the latest info on all this...................
I have decided to see what everyone else is doing as I am not a big user of the community pages but like the message I reply to my wife and I are a partnership business and we have been trying to register since July - only becuase we have to...as we have a "funds now" paypal account and that makes life so much easier.....Well we have uploaded everything we have including and reluctantly our last tax return....but despite getting 48 hours without a red banner on our seller hub we are still unable to be verified - to say its driving me mad would be an undertstatement.....18th Jan was our deadline but I am assured we are ok to carry on regardless .....WHAT I seriously don't like is being told by ebay to register as a sole trader ?? why the hell should I !!
and now having come and looked around this board with people suggesting money transfers are taking a week - I'm keeping quiet whilst we are still taking the dollar the old school way with paypal....
The latest info is the same as it always has been - that the names on your Ebay account and bank account must be identical.
Managed Payment fee information has been available for months, so not sure why you don't know if they'll be higher for you or not. They're clearly set out in the Seller Centre and the Help pages, along with everything else you need to know about Managed Payments.
The vast majority of sellers have had no problem at all with Managed Payments. And the vast majority of sellers won't come to the forums to say that, obviously - you'll only ever see posts from that small minority who are having problems (and mainly because they haven't bothered to read the information Ebay has been supplying them with for the last year or so, or didn't read it properly).
