I opted for the buyer to collect from my address as the items i am selling are very large.
I also made this clear in the description panel, yet when i view the listing it shows + £0.88
next to the sale price. why?
Did you create the listing using the quick listing template? If so then perhaps that's the reason that something's gone wrong with the ad. eBay have been known to alter things on listings created using the quick lising tool without the seller's permission, so if I were you I'd cancel the bid you currently have on the item and then end the listing using the dropdown menu next to the right of the item, citing "Error In Listing" as the reason why.
Once you've done that relist the item again, making sure that you use the Advanced Selling Form, sometimes referred to as the Business Selling Tool. Ignore any eBay blurb that it's only for business sellers to use - anybody can use it, and you will not be penalised for using the Advanced Selling Template in order to list your items for sale.
Once you have set up the revised edition of the listing using the Advanced Selling Form make sure that you only select the Collection In Person Only option from the list of postage options available. This will prevent potential buyers from getting the impression that you are willing to post the item and only those buyers who are acutally willing to collect the item in person ought to place a bid on the listing.
When you have completed the revised ad have a quick look at the listing before clicking on the button to submit it, and make sure that everything looks right, including the photos, item description, item specifics and anything else that you will need to include on the listing. If you are likely to be listing certain items on a regular basis then when you set up the Advanced Selling Form click on the option to save the listing as a template and if you sell any similar items in the future you can use that template to save you some time with setting up future ads. All you'd have to do would be to remove the original shots and item description and replace them with new photos and an item description relating to the latest item being listed for sale and you could probably just list the item straightaway after that, unless you needed to alter the item specifics for some reason, such as to update the postage costs. You can have as many different selling templates as you want to sell various different items on the site, so make the most of them. It'll save you a lot of time in the future when you come to list similar items for sale.
In your listing it shows that you offer 2nd class postage at a total cost of 88p as well as collection in person.
I would love to know how you are going to post that for 88p.
Your bidder may think that is what you are offering as it's in black and white under "postage and payments".
