promoted listing fees issues

Just wondering about promoted listing fees. On my product, it states that I don't deliver internationally. Yet over 8 times I have still had customers abroad buy an item. Every time they buy the item I cancel it straight away before they pay (they don't pay anyway which is weird).

I know I don't get charged eBay fees but will I still have to pay the promoted listing price? this has happened so much that it starting to worry me. i have checked my invoice area on eBay and i dont understand it. All this get it back as credits business. Does that mean i still have to pay but instead they stay on as credits? How would i use the credits if so as well?

Yes, you will still have to pay the promoted listing fees. When you cancel a transaction, only the selling fee is credited back to your Ebay account (and then only if you correctly cancelled the transaction, which should have been 'problem with buyer's address' in this instance). Everything else - promoted listings, and listing extras such as Reserves, or BINs added to auctions - has to be paid for.

Everything you need to know about selling here, including Ebay's (and PayPal's) fees, and how to prevent international buyers from bidding or buying, is in the Seller Centre link at foot of any page).  You also have the Help pages with their integral search to refer to (links at top and foot of any page). Unless you correctly set up your account to block international buyers, they will be able to bid and buy, but they will not be able to pay.

Thanks, i have updated that now. Every time I cancelled a transaction I did choose that there was a problem with buyer's address.

So from what you have put i will still get charged for the promoted fees even though i said there was a problem with the buyers address?

Also, i have updated my ebay so that i have blocked out any customers from outside the united kingdom. Thanks a lot for your help. Look forward to hearing back from you.

I recently updated that to see if the international buyers would click that option but they still didn't. I had to take my old listing down with 4k+ views, 40 watchers and 17 sold purely because of my worry of getting charged for promotion fees. Do you know if i will be charged?

you didn't need to take the listing down, you just needed to set your bidder requirements

Your postage to Sweden you state is £50! ( on the pool)
You need to amend prompto if you don’t want to post Internationaly...have a peep on your seller dashboard if cancelling have given you defects...

@vijorey When i put international it was aimed at customers from the US and puerto rico (i had so many). This wasn't really aimed at european countries. If anything it was to make them not purchase due to the high price of the delivery

ebay do not do emails...it is live chat or phone which may be difficult at the mo...
Re the fees....perhaps if you posted on the discussion board...business? there may be someone there who may be able to help.....

but I do know you can block bidders from countries you don't post to:-
