i have sold £240 worth of goods but my paypal is only showimg £210 so paypal have took £30 in fees this cannot be right
PayPal does not make mistakes with their payment processing fees. Check them out for yourself:
1. In PayPal's Help pages on their website.
2. In Ebay's Seller Centre (link at foot of any page) or in Ebay's Help pages (links at top and foot of any page).
You do realise that you should be Registered as a Business Seller so you are UNDERPAYING fees and apart from selling illegally depriving ebay of the proper scale of fees.
At present Ebay charge not just on the sale price but Postage.
Paypal charge on the amount received not just the sale price so if the £240 you quote is sale price you must add on postage to arrive at the correct figure on which Paypal fees are charged. This is not new so if you haven't noticed before why has it taken so long?
paypal charge 2.9% of the total received, item price and P&P, plus 30p for every transcation
