Why have I got a different home page lay-out from the one I always had? How do I change it?

My home page layout has changed and I do not know how to get it back to as it was. Can anyone help please?  The new lay-out is very confusing as it gives too much information and is hard to navigate. Has anyone else had this issue?   Jill
