Enter "Selling Limits" into Help and Contact at the top of the Page.

Shouldn't you be Registered as a Business Seller?  A Private Account is just for Selling your own Second Hand or Unwanted Items from in and around your home.

I spoke to an eBay agent about this and since I have only just started selling my private collections on eBay.

The reason for posting this question is that entering selling limits into the search bar gave me no actual answers, wouldn't have made the effort to post if it had (granted, I only got 4 pages into the search results).

Also, I am still selling a lot of my own stuff - I have extensive pokemon card, model (both built and unbuilt) and book collections.

Register correctly as a Business Seller, the ask ebay about limits.

At the moment you are selling illegally and eventually Ebay, Trading Standards and HMRC (The Taxman) will catch up with you.

Please could you explain that to me? I was not aware I was at fault - the agent I spoke to who has just increased my selling allowance asked me questions about what I'm selling etc and all seemed fine? Is selling off my own personal collections an issue if they are valuable?

It is not a question of value, you are selling a lot of brand new items. So you look like a business seller not a collector. You are going to have a lot of people thinking that you are a business seller, even if it is not true .

Oh, is that even if what I'm selling is just part of a set that I have used other parts of? It's not like I have, say, bought something new in packaging and then sold it new in packaging without opening it etc.
