Sold an item on ebay the buyer paid promptly and then i went onto paypal to find his address to sort the label out etc etc then i discovered he`s based in the Shetlands which is obviously the northern isles now being from scotland i know the usual transport there is by ferry and i am having a whole load of trouble with the parcel being delivered with Hermes as on thursday its out for delivery on friday its out for delivery then saturday it still says its out for delivery from the friday night and so i go ahead and speak to the CEO of hermes as right now its literally impossible to get a hold of customer services with hermes as there is no email no live chat the waiting time for a call is between 2-6 hours so its now saturday evening tracking has not changed apart from this

i have no idea where the parcel is i cannot get a hold of anyone from hermes to help so im just wondering if the CEO has managed to get a hold of someone so guys is there anyway i can stop people bidding on my items from say places like overseas or shetland etc etc as im not going through this again but thankfully i took insurance out for what i sold the item for as in £75 so im covered regardless but its beside the point as its annoying that i cant get a hold of one single person from hermes apart from the stupid bot who basically tells you everythig you know already

Have you really checked that you are covered, they are quite happy to take extra money but there is still a very LONG list of items not covered.

Just as you can block from shipping to China for example you can exclude remote locations in the UK, such as Off Shore Islands, Highlands of Scotland. That does not make you popular with the potential buyers, when Royal Mail deliver to all parts for the same price.

If you bought the postage on Ebay, Hermes can't help you because you have no contract with them. Your contract is with Packlink, the broker that Ebay uses and the third party who bought the postage from Hermes. You will have to contact Packlink, and they will then contact Hermes.
