I sold a cook book and the buyer got in touch to say she had experienced bank fraud so would not be able to pay me for a week, but I could look at her excellent feedback as she was reliable and honest.
I said this would be ok and so she wouldn't be penalised for late payment, I would mark as paid. She hadn't sorted it out a week later so I marked it despatched too so I wouldn't be penalised for late postage. I informed the buyer what I was doing. She has been promising payment each week for about 3 weeks now and when I ask, still says it isn't sorted with the bank but will be the week after. If, as I suspect, I never do get the payment, I have lost out with my eBay and Paypal fees by being helpful. I won't do this again. This is all for less than £10.
I won't do this again.
I bet you won't! You must have been the most kind hearted seller on eBay!
Anyway, the "paid" marking can be undone, I think. The dispatched marking is irrelevant.
If you're still within the 32 day time limit to open an unpaid item case, do so now. For details, see: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/unpaid-items.html
