Just a bit of a heads up for sellers, again we sellers loose out, and although most try our upmost to provide a great service 90% of the problems are created via the courier logistics, recently even before the covid excuses came in, I just came across a new one in the small print of Parcel2go. Hermes apparently make 3 delivery attempts before returning to sender. But if you book Hermes via Parcel2go they only attempt once! please see below in there small print.
You kind of get the feeling Parcel2go and Hermes don't get on.
this is Parcel2go's small print below....
What happens if I miss my delivery?
The price paid is for one collection/delivery attempt. Commercial vehicles are not cheap to run and if the goods are not ready for collection or if no one is available at the delivery point or refuses delivery, an additional charge of £20.00 plus VAT will be made. Collection and delivery can be made any time from 9 am until 5.00 pm unless you have paid for timed deliveries.
So just to let you know that due saving a few pennies for you customers and using a 3rd party you don't have the same rights, and also if you need to contact Hermes for a parcel query you can't unless you booked with them directly!
And on a separate note does anyone know how long I have to await a refund for lost parcel via Packlink as it's been a month now since my claim and I've already refunded the customer.
