Many thanks for all your advice. I have learned quite a few valuable essons with this and now have a much better perspective on the issue.
Best advice - leave well enough alone and especially don't, as I have done, leave positive buyer feedback in the mistaken and naive belief that this will prompt buyer feedback in return.
