Managed Payments

Ebay have just sent me a message to say if I don't register for managed payments they will resrtict my ability to list new items. I didn't want to go onto managed payments because I rarely sell stuff for over £10 and when I work out my bottomline after the new ebay fees, VAT, postage costs I end up with less than I would if I stay with paypal. I would also prefer the money being transferred once a month into my bank account and not daily or weekly. Doesn't seem fair that they are forcing you to accept something that will make you worse off by saying they will restrict your listings if you don't accept.

As I understand it you can arrange transfer to bank to suit YOUR requirements.

I doubt that ebay will let us know what the T & C of this new scheme are as there are bound to be lots of questions that we cannot answer. 

I have not seen any details of Fees, but would be interested to know for comparison. Typical of ebay if it was such a grand scheme sellers would be pleased to sign up, and threats would not be necessary.

The money will be transferred either daily or weekly, they are the only options. The fees in the category I sell (Health & Beauty) are 10.9% of the selling price plus 30p and then VAT on the total fee.
