Hi,
I'm new to selling on eBay and I'm selling my vehicle.
I've had a request from somebody who doesn't want to view the vehicle due to them working overseas and haven't got the time, and they're going to get a courier company to pick the car up. Alarm bells are ringing as they want to have my Paypal address to make the payment, and also that they're not based in the UK.
Does this sound legit? Should I be worried?
Thank you in advance, really would appreciate your advice.
Good thing those bells are ringing loud and clear, it's a scam!
Do not reply to it, just put this ' buyer' on your blocked buyers list now.
Go to Account tab >> Site preferences >> Buyer Requirements >> Block buyers who .... and add that username ID.
Only accept buyers for your vehicle who first click on that Buy it now button or win an auction. You can then exhange contact details.
The buyer come fully inspects the vehicle, if all is OK, they pay you cash on collection. You then go right of the item sold and from More Actions click on Mark as Paid and Mark as Dispatched.
Do not veer from the above!
