Is Sell for £1 Really Random???

So for the past 6 months I have had sell for £1 almost every 2 weeks without fail (so have my wife, son, friends) The last time I had the offer, I listed an item that was Buy It Now for circa £230. The 30 day time limit on the sell for £1 expired but I forgot to take off the item. A few days later I was offered £200 but would have meant paying £20 in ebays fees rather than just £1 (I'm recently unemployed so a £20 saving is a massive help to me at the moment). I messaged the buyer and said I would accept the offer but would relist at the next sell for £1 promotion which they were happy with. This was 5 weeks ago and since then I have not rceived the sell for £1 offer whereas my wife, son, friends etc have continued to get the offer fortnightly. I spoke to ebay today to ask why I hadn't received the offer the last 2 times and was told its completely random as to who gets the offer. I explained what had happened with regards to the offer I had received for the item but was told that has nothing to do with why I hadn't recieved the £1 offer since. All very strange bearing in mind friends and family have continued to get the offer. Has anyone else had a similar experience at all as I am sure I have been blacklisted from the promotion!!

No one knows how ebay decide who gets offers, as you found ebay CS don't know either.

I can only suggest that your wife/son list the item on their account, you can then contact buyer & ask them to make offer again,

at least that way you sell the item.
