I sold an item which was paid for and now e-bay have opened up an unpaid item transaction dispute?

I recently sold an item which the buyer paid for through Paypal and I posted the item the next day since cleared payment had been received and I had done all my usual checks etc. Now e-bay have opened up an unpaid item transaction.  I don't know why this has happened as it clearly shows that item has been paid for both in E-Bay and  through Paypal.  I have checked all the other avenues and everything is in place so am at a loss as to why this has happened. Perhaps someone could shed some light on this. Thank You.

if you are absolutely sure you received payment just mark it as paid in the unpaid item case and it will then close

The first thing to do, and hopefully you have already done so, is to close the case and contact the buyer to explain. The only time Ebay can open a case is if you have the unpaid item assistant turned on when it would do so after a chosen number of days. If you have this, it would  appear that somehow it has not picked up the payment. Personally I would never use it, and you can turn it off.

Other than that I can see no explanation.
