What a joke!
Royal Mail deliver (or lose) my parcel late due to Covid. eBay refund my buyer.
I'm done with this **bleep**. Will be closing my account.
What a strange attitude.
When you haven't received an item you bought you've asked eBay to step in and get you a refund and you've left feedback suggesting the seller didn't send it.
Why do you think your buyer shouldn't be entitled to a refund?
If Royal Mail are at fault, claim from them.
I don't know what the first part of your reply is about...
But I don't think my buyer should be entitled to a refund, because now they're going to get the item for free, and I'm out 1 item, the cost of postage, and a PayPal fee.
If Royal Mail are taking longer to deliver items due to Covid, why are eBay/PayPal still only giving sellers 28days for an item to arrive before issuing a refund?
Have you never heard of making a claim on RM for a lost item?
I am afraid you have dual standards, what is all right for you does not apply to anyone else.
If something gets lost in the post, you don't throw your dolly out of the pram, things do get lost/delayed, you simply refund the buyer and get your selling fee refunded and then claim off RM, that is what your proof of postage is for.
Failing to deal with the buyer and ebay will do it, difference is you get a Defect and no refund of the selling fee.
it's Royal Mail you need to take this up with
ebay had to force you to refund as you do not have proof of delivery
how would you feel as a buyer if the item didn't arrive and the seller refused to refund?
