Contacting eBay customer service

I have been invoiced a selling fee prior to my item not being sold when I was offered 3 free listings.

I have tried to speak to eBay through chat and it takes forever and is in the states.

I have tried emailing through eBay.co.uk and have had no reply.

How do I speak to somebody about this?

Ebay UK's CS is in The Philippines (and in Dublin to a much lesser extent). It is not in the US.

Ebay doesn't have email CS at all.  And it's Live Chat and request-a-callback only at present, both of which are available in Help & Contact during working hours.

But no point in contacting them, as their invoices are never wrong.  If you're still confused about what or why you've been charged, go to the Seller Centre or Help pages to view Ebay's fees, and to learn how and when they're applied.

The Seller Centre contains everything you need to know about selling on Ebay, so have a good look around while you're there. There's even a section especially for new sellers. 🙂

@josn_2015

only the insertion of the basic listing was free,

you added a reserve,

the fee for using a reserve is 4% of the reserve set and you have to pay this, even if you later remove the reserve.

Just as with anything else, you are expected to read the T & C of offers and also look at what you are agreeing to pay when you click "LIST WITH DISPLAYED FEES".

You are still agreeing to pay the fees shown whether you bother to read or not.
