Cancellation but payment is processing?

Hi,

 

Just sold an item but the payment is sat as processing. 

 

Instantly, literally 2 minutes after the buyer bought the item, he requested to cancel. I tried to accept the cancellation but it says I don't have the funds in my account to do so (I imagine because the payment is processing). 

 

The only other way is to pay the buyer from my debit card, but I haven't received funds from the sale. This feels like a scam to me.

 

Anything I can do?

Don't refund a different way to how the buyer paid or they could end up getting the money twice.   If you're signed up to ebay's managed payments it will take at least 2 working days for the payment to reach your bank account.
