Buyer saying item faulty after a few days

Hi 

 

We are a business seller(charity) and recently shipped an unused item to a buyer (box had been opened but item brand new). 

 

The buyer received the item, used it for a few days, worked fine and they left positive feedback.

 

After a few days the buyer says there is a fault with it and wants to return it, do we have to accept the return? Does anyone know what our legal/ebay standpoint is on this? 

 

The item was pretty expensive and we would not be able to sell again for a similar price. 

 

Any help appreciated, just looking for a little bit more information before we proceed!

If buyer claims not as described you issue returns label through case and refund on return.

ebay always believe buyer.

item may be new,but can still be faulty.
