Buyer received a different item

Hi,

I sold an item on eBay and the buyer says they received a completely different item.

I have photo's of the label I sent and the label they received and they look different.  So seems like the label has been reprinted somewhere along the delivery chain (or perhaps by the buyer).

Ebay has awarded the case to the buyer and they have received a refund.

I have tried raising a case with myhermes but they have ignored my request.  It is hard to raise a support case because they see the item as delivered end of story.

Any suggestions on what I can do to receive any sort of compensation?

BTW: it was not through the global shipping program

Regards,

T

If you bought the postage on Ebay, Hermes can't help you. Your contract is with Packlink, the postage broker you paid your money to, so it is Packlink you need to lodge a claim with.  No idea how you do that as I buy my postage direct from my chosen carrier, but the information should be in the Seller Centre, along with everything else you need to know about selling here.

How far you'll get with a switch-in-transit claim is unknown, but you can surely try.  If you have no luck, go to the CAB's website for advice.
