Bulk uploads using file exchange - manually set live after fine-tuning?

Hello everyone.

I have been exploring using eBay's file exchange to bulk upload products. I've eventually got this working but was surprised to see my test products immediately activated and live.

Is there a way to bulk upload products, then manually fine-tune each one, adding additionals photos and details before making them go live?
