First of all, click on this link https://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?bidderblocklogin and a big white box will appear on the screen.  Add the buyer's User ID to that white box and click on the Submit button beneath it.  Once you have done that the buyer will not be able to purchase anything else that you advertise for sale on the site.

In the event that you are trying to do this via the eBay app, don't.  eBay's app is pretty lame to say the least, so sign into your eBay account using a computer or a laptop in order to add the person in question to your Blocked Bidders List and it ought to work that way.

In the event that you run into any problems and the above link doesn't work there is a second option you could try that will enable you to locate the Blocked Bidders List.  The second option involves clicking on this link https://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences.  If you click on that link then it'll bring up a page entitled "Buyer Management."  Look at the top of the page.  There's a sub-heading there which reads "Blocked Buyer List."  Beneath that sub-heading is a link that says "Manage Blocked Buyers List."  Click on that link and the same white box that I mentioned in the first paragraph will appear on the screen.  You can then just add the buyer's User ID to the white box, click on the Submit button and from that point onwards it will not be possible for the buyer to purchase anything from you.

In addtion to the above there is another feature on the Buyer Management page that you may wish to make use of.  If you do not already have it set up scroll right down to the bottom of the Buyer Management page and tick the box next to the sentence that says "Don't Allow Blocked Buyers To Contact Me."  This is just a one-off procedure - once you have set this up it will remain activated forever unless you chance your mind and deactivate it manually.  That way if at any time in the future you decide to add another person to your Blocked Bidders List you will not have to specifically activate this function to ensure that they cannot pester you with unwanted e-mails.

The only downside to the "Don't Allow Blocked Buyers To Contact Me" option is that whilst it will kick in straightaway if you add somebody to your Blocked Bidders List who you've never sold to, if you're adding the User ID of a person you've recently been involved in a transaction with the blocks will take longer to kick in than they would have done otherwise.  However, once the blocks do kick in it will not be possible for the person you've recently been in a transaction with to pester you with unwanted e-mails sent via the site.
