£1 Final value fee max for Business Sellers...Feelling Conned!

Anyone else slightly peeved at the lack of clarity on the £1 Final value fee max. for business sellers?. I always upload on a Sunday (as 7 day listings form part of my 500 inclusive auction listings per month), but schedule throughout the week to start at that time. Just spoken to CS regarding the fact that a number of items have not had the credit applied, only to be told that they were scheduled (not listed) prior to the promotion date so wouldn't be included, even though they were only actually uploaded during the promotion. Am I the only one to feel conned??.

You are not very clear as to when the listings went live. Usually it is the date that they start, not the date when you created the listings. However if you go the the expired offer, where it says Used/Unused and click on the numbers it will tell you exactly which items were included in the offer.

It does pay to read the T & C as offers are not always worded the same.

This is how it is worded on the offer for Private Sellers as I say it may be different for Business Sellers and I am not sure what dates were covered. - 

An eligible item previously scheduled to go live during the promotional period will qualify for the promotion only if you have opted in to the promotion before the listing starts.

the listings have to go live during the promotion,

the T&C's were quite clear about this,

you might be feeling 'conned' but you weren't, you just didn't read the T&C's

From the terms and conditions - An eligible listing previously scheduled to go live during the Promotion Period will qualify for the Promotion only if you have actively opted in to the Promotion via the RSVP link before the listing starts.

okay, so I misunderstood,

you do realise that the rest of the T&C's state that you are charged the full fees and will be credited later for the offer price?

If an item qualifies for the Promotion, when the item sells, the full FVF will be charged during the Promotion Period. The discount will be credited to your account within 30 days of transaction date.

Up to 100 free listings....did you list more than that?

That's what I asked too, but they said they wouldn't be, because, as they were scheduled BEFORE the promotional period, they would not be included, even though they were not actually uploaded until the promotion period itself. Buyers cannot see items until they are uploaded (ie Live), hence my gripe....

No Vijorey, I only listed about 40 or 50 last week. Having the kids home has meant it's harder to get anything done....

are they showing on your used section for that promotion?

to check go to Promotional offers on the seller hub, click on expired offers, then click on the number used, this will show all listings that were included

I suspect that if you scheduled them before the promotion then you scheduled without the expectation of the offer....

You would only qualify for the offer if the listing was scheduled after the promotion started & went live before the promotion ended

Just checked, and the main one (a near £30 fee) is the first one to be showing on the list, though I have just been told that that one was not eligible. The others are not showing, it seems, which may be the issue. It is showing as all 100 being used, though there were, as previously mentioned, only around 40-50 new listings uploaded in the promotional period, so the others used would have been relists, and thus not eligible for the promotion. I'll wait and see if there is at least a credit for the big one after 30 days. It may be done automatically.....

check the listings on the list to see if they were relists or scheduled,

Did you have any items auto relist before the scheduled ones started but after the promotion started as they might have used the offer listings first

Ebay automatically relists items if they are 'BIB' (I have somewhere over 13000 currently listed), though these shouldn't really be included in the promotion.....
