Vintage

Hi when selling an item are all items that are over 20 years old classed as Vintage?

Vintage

It's a very over used word although I do use it too as it fits the gap between modern and mid century. Hard for us oldies to get our heads around as it feels like only a few years ago but anything from the late 20th Century can be called Vintage.

There's a section for vintage clothing where you can shop by decade.

When listing, you select 'speciality' under 'clothes shoes & accessosaries' then you can select which decade you want - from the 20's to the 90's:

Unlike "antique" - which is usually defined as something more than 100 years old for customs purposes - there isn't a universally defined age limit for vintage items (vintage is originally a wine term). However, general consensus seems to be anything 20-99 years old is vintage provided the item has some clear connection with the period in which it was produced. So, a 20-year-old games console might be considered vintage but a 20-year-old broom might not.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

I have some "vintage" underpants but I am really attached to them so I will not be offering them for sale yet.
