What on earth is wrong with these people?
Tracked 48 is showing as a one day+ delivery aim on my listings.
Busiest postal weekend of the whole year as well. Thanks for that.

eBay like to be overly optimistic when calculating the Estimated Delivery Date. They will use your own tracking history against you, here is my example:
I used to send cheap items 1st class (large letter), and more expensive items Tracked 48. While I had a 7 am cutoff for same day postage I normally managed same day for purchases up to early afternoon. So eBay could look at my order history and see items arriving next day. Therefore eBay's overly simplistic rules, probably dreamt up by somebody in the marketing team who doesn't think about the real world, said "oh, you deliver next day, let's show your EDD as next day", even on T48 items that are stated as 2-3 days.
When other sellers have posted about these EDD issues, eBay have responded that it's working as designed, so my conclusion is you can only control what you control, if eBay are going to make up EDDs that I can't meet then there is nothing I can do about it. I don't even think about it any more.

Have you complained to ebay?

All of your items currently show delivery by the 19th,next posting day is the 16th but bear in mind if you buy your postage through Ebay it shows as dispatched at buyers end the moment you buy it.

Not yet. But she's not happy and would not be surprised if she's uninterested in my excuses.

Okay, thank you.
The cynic within me is thinking that "mistakes/error/glitches" such as this could be drawing business from other platforms. They of course don't have to deal with the fallout.
I've attached some screenshots. I'm pretty sure I'm not missing something obvious but if anyone knows any different, by all means correct me.
The purchase was after my 2.00pm cut off time for same day dispatch.
It shows that the buyer was presented with a delivery expectation from one day.
I purchased the postage outside of Ebay via my Click and Drop account, marked as shipped on the 12th and uploaded tracking manually.
The Tracked 48 option was added to my postage policy from Ebay's list and shows a 2-3 day delivery estimate. None of that was added manually.
Best wishes,
Richard.

Probs generated by some Gen A marketing kiddie, 'oh yeah like my deliveroo comes like within an hour, so like Tracked must mean like the next day yeah?'

Thank you.
Your response 'rang a bell' - I seem to remember this has been discussed before.
I've traded on eBay for nearly 25 years, exclusively at first, and still have my business account with 50 or so listings on it. I should end the subscription really, I hardly sell anything on here any more.
The solution it seems could be to stop uploading tracking to the site and sending the number in a message instead.
Thank you.

Expect more item not delivered claims (and for your black heart to sing as you reveal to Simon Scama that you did have a note of the tracking!) if you don't upload tracking at the time, also this may seriously delay payments in the future 😞
I once saw an item I bought being slated as being delivered the day before. Thats right, -1 day delivery. Thankfully I knew otherwise. It was a bank holiday and I suspect they'd subtracted rather than added days, perhaps it was spotted quickly.

😂🤣😁...... I just read that as Simon *Schama* and spent 10 mins wondering what one of my favourite historians had to do with it!
