Hi, just thought i would share my latest faux pax with you all to start the day off.  Put a item on auction last week, tried doing my due diligence but not having much luck so i just stuck it on for £5 as it was not (i thought going to be a particular popular item).  So far 123 views, 19 watchers and i bid for the £5!  My gut feeling is that it might sell for £5.50 in the end as even the few watchers who have a real interest will all wait until the last minute - that will teach me!!!   Or not....     I should imagine most of the watchers are just observing though but it is many a long day since i had so many and for such an inocuous item.  I always say though that you can never tell on e bay which is one of the reasons i like the site.

That's an extraordinary high amount of watchers and views just for an apron though, there must be something about the designer. Not the usual kind of thing people add to their watch list unless there's something about it. But hey, we all know that at the end it can go either way - flurry of bids or just nada.

Just having a look on the Susie Watson website the aprons they currently have for sale go for between £36 and £45 so it might go for more than a fiver.

do not think i have ever had so many, gone up to 21 now!   Although i had never heard of her before i did check it out but as it was a used item and not an often used one these days i underestimated it badly (probably).  Of course if i was an unscrupulous seller i would just cancel but as i am not it goes ahead.  They say you live and learn....

Maybe it's the hottest apron in town, and there will be a bidding war in the last few minutes.  Maybe a 1m+ followers influencer has been pictured wearing that very apron.  

Or maybe there's 21 people that own that apron, and they're waiting to see how much it sells for.

Let us know the final result.  I'm totally invested in your apron.

tomorrow is the big day and it has now gone up to 29 watchers and 189 views.   The loss of any potential value  by my dereliction of due care is well worth the amusement factor for me.  Who said e bay could not be entertaining......

To be fair, I'm sure a lot of the watchers and views will have come from people reading this thread, so I wouldn't read too much into it. The initial flurry may just have been a coincidence, or something as simple as the brand being discussed on tv/radio. I often find I get sales when a particular item has received some media attention.

some may well be but i only put the thread on yesterday am (just to lighten the mood a bit) and there were already 19 watchers then.  I never read much into any amount of watchers on e bay, used to when i first started but soon got that knocked out of me!  What amuses me most is the fact that it is only a ...... apron, now if it was a designer dress i could understand it but as they say expect anything on e bay!   Not sure about media attention though as i had never heard of this particular designer before, hence why i had to look them up.

one can only dream but it is e bay!  Just had enough reading about all the doom and gloom about the new payments system so thought i would highlight my lack of selling skills.....  You never know someone might even read it and think they maybe should check their items out better before pricing them.

299 views, 39 watchers and in the end 3 bidders.  Sold for £22 so exceeded my expectations by a lot!  Now all i need is a satified buyer when they recieve it.
